Arsenal vs Manchester United Prediction
Arsenal were handed fresh woes last week after they squandered a one-goal advantage and ended up losing 2-1 to Chelsea at home. Despite starting strongly with Aubameyang firing the Gunners in front, the hosts fell out of their stride in the dying minutes of the game and conceded both the equalizer and the winning goal towards the end of regulation time.
Miserably, the home side now have just one win to boast of from their past fifteen games in all competitions. With no more than twenty-four points to their name, Arsenal certainly have a lot of ground to make up on the table.
On the other hand, Manchester United are on a much more solid run of form at the moment. The Red Devils have stumbled just once in their past nine fixtures in the Premier League.
Their previous clash on the road saw them breeze past Burnley with a 2-0 scorecard. Prior to this, they took down Newcastle at home with a thumping 4-1 victory.
Be that as it may, the guests have not been at the strongest on the road this season. They have dropped points in seven of their past ten outings. And have come out on top just twice in their last five as well.
It is also worth mentioning that the visitors have failed to secure the bragging rights in five of their previous eight trips here. Taking into account that it was Arsenal who picked up the win in their last meeting at Emirates Stadium, Manchester United are the underdogs to secure all three points this week.
However, the hosts have been admitting back to back defeats in their past three games at home. Given that the reverse fixture of this matchup also finished as a tie, the safest punt would be backing a double chance.
Furthermore, Arsenal have unresolved defensive issues, and it has been on full display this season. The Gunners are without a clean sheet in each of their past six PL fixtures here.
Meanwhile, United have made no mistake in finding the back of the net even on the road, and have racked up twelve goals to their tally so far as well.
To top it off, the visitors have had their names on the scoresheet along with the hosts in two of their past three visits here. As such, count on both teams to have their scoring boots on in this one.
