Newcastle United vs Leicester Prediction
Newcastle United were handed their second straight defeat after Everton got the better of them with a narrow 2-1 scorecard at home last week. Despite leveling the scores after going behind initially in that latter matchup, the hosts were punished for not keeping Calvert Lewin at bay, with the Toffees striker completing a brace to deprive the home side of all three points.
The Magpies have now come out on top just once in their past four PL games on the trot. Currently, they are seated in the middle of the table with twenty-five points to their name.
Meanwhile, Leicester will be making the trip to St James Park on the back of a 2-1 win over West Ham on the road. The visitors were without the services of their talisman Jamie Vardy in that clash.
Nevertheless, the Foxes were in fine form, and would have added a third, had Demarai Gray scored from the spot in the first half.
It is also worth mentioning that the guests have been a force to reckon with on the road this season. They have stumbled just twice so far which, to their defense, were against the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.
And, as far as away-statistics go, the visitors playing second fiddle only to Jurgen Klopp’s men. Furthermore, Newcastle have dropped points in six of their previous ten games at home.
Taking into account that they have admitted defeat in three of their last four fixtures with this foe here too, Leicester are the front runners to come away with all three points.
Moreover, the Foxes have not looked organized at the back as of late. They have not kept a clean sheet in any of their past four outings in all competitions.
On the other hand, Newcastle have been a constant threat in the final third, and have racked eleven of their twenty goals so far, from their matchups on home soil.
Considering that two of their past three h2h fixtures here have also witnessed both teams find the back of the net together, expect neither side to make it out of the ninety minutes with a clean sheet intact.
