Arsenal vs Standard Liege
Date: Thursday, 3 October 2019
Kick-off at 20:00 UK / 21:00 CET
Venue: Emirates Stadium (London).
Arsenal made light work of Eintracht Frankfurt in their opener and slotted three unanswered goals into the back of the net by the end of the ninety minutes. The Gunners have got off to a solid start in the Premier League as well, and have admitted defeat just once in their last six games, which to their defense was against the in-form Liverpool.
Standard Liege got off to a winning start in their respective group stage match by posting a comfortable 2-0 victory over Guimaraes at home. The visitors have not been at the losing end in any of their last five games either, and have come out on top in four of those five matchups as well.
Unai Emery’s men are certainly one of the front runners to top Group F. With home advantage safe and secure in this one, the hosts will be confident of depriving Standard Liege of all three points this week.

Arsenal vs Standard Liege Prediction
The hosts have been impressive in front of their home fans, and are unbeaten in their last four games here. It is also worth mentioning that the squad have lost just twice on home soil since the start of this year and are currently sporting a two-match winning streak under their belt as well.
Their counterparts, have been erratic on the road and have tasted defeat in two of their last four outings, one of which saw them lose without even finding the back of the net. In addition, the visitors have not been able to get the better of Arsenal in their previous clashes either.
Given the admirable form that the Gunners have been on in the comforts of their home, Standard Liege have little or no chance of securing the bragging rights in this one.
Furthermore, the home team have been consistent in scoring no less than two goals or more in their past four games here in all competitions. Taking into account that the away side netted four in their most recent outing alone, a high scoring clash with over 2.5 goals on the charts is certainly looming large this week.
